In 1964, Kenzo moved to Paris where he polished his designing skills and eventually opened up his first boutique in 1970. After being featured in American Vogue in 1971, Kenzo caught the attention of the public and was acclaimed as the next development in the Paris fashion scene. Since his retirement in 1999, Kenzo joined the LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton company and launched a skincare, fragrance and clothing line that is sold internationally.
